It is notoriously difficult to get good pictures of theatrical sets as they appear to audiences. Much of the aesthetic and mood depends on stage lighting, which the camera lens perceives very differently from the human eye. Here are a few samples of productions where I was able to obtain photographs.
Setting for "Wedding Band", Onstage Atlanta |
Walt Disney's Library, "Disney on Ice" touring production |
"The Mystery of Irma Vep" for Theatrical Outfit in Atlanta, a campy and cartoony setting in a mysterious mansion |
"Rainmaker" set for production in Rockville MD |
"Appalachian Christmas" for Theatrical Outfit, a rustic cabin in the woods complete with chainsaw murderer. |
Fireplace & roof detail from "Appalachian Christmas" |
Details of a stonework mural |
